With enough people...1 per 100lbs is an absolute minimum...better to have two or three extra in the truckbed to hand off to.....it shouldn't be too big a problem. A pallet is best, but you need WAY more cushion than a 2 inch styrofoam board. Absolutely no less than a 4 inch FOAM pad....like under carpets. Me? I'd have 4 inches under the pallet and another 4 under the pumpkin....then secure the pumpkin with tie straps so it wont roll over, forward, or out the back.4 hour ride? Hmmm....shrinkwrap.......................G
