Re: Grid System

Jim only if the whole pumpkin surface is used and that each square of the grid has 100% green in it...remember green nettings is not green skin, if the underlying color is orange it should count as pumpkin....( base color)......I have one myself that has a green shade to the netting, but its all pumpkin base color..........................wayne

Subject: Grid System

Hello group,

I have a 2 questions...How may weigh-off sites use a grid system to determine if an entry is a squash or a pumpkin? Also do you think it is a  good tool for the judges to use?  thanks for your response....

I have a large pumpkin getting a green cholorphyll like coating on the outside in places,,,To many in fact.  It is obvious the underlying color is dark orange.  Does anyone on the list know how to reverse this effect.  I am borderline 75%/25%
