Re: All the Weighoffs

I would like to thank everyone who E-mailed me this past week, to wish me luck on my pumpkin. But, she weighed light!!! Very light, like 20% under light!! It measured 940 and weighed 779! What a kick in the teeth! I was needles to say very surprised, because I used a lot of calcium this summer and gypsum in the fall and spring. I had weighed 2-pumpkins prior and one was 15% over and the other was 7% over. My dad's 832 was +1%. I had hoped for a thousand or at least what it had measured. I still can't believe that this pumpkin grown from the 723 Bobier weighed this light. Oh well, Like in previos years I will be glad to send seeds to the group. I am getting married next week, so when I get back, I'll post my address and I'll send seeds out, like I do every year in January. Good luck to everyone who's weigh-off is next week.
