Check out the variety name list. Of the 4 named pumpkins in my earlier email which came first? Are they the same? Is someone treating them as if they were the same (any 2 or more)?
Dear Ray
Are we talking about Atlantic Giants?
When I started growing the record was just over 400 pounds and it belonged to the guy who developed the seed called the Atlantic Giant.
Howard Dill!
I have talked to Howard and Danny Dill several times and there have been several times they let some use the rights to their seeds. There are also several times that people have taken it!
As I recall you and Howard were partners selling his seeds?
Tell us all what happened?
Tell us why Howard dropped out of the WPC after he help you start it? Then quit going to the WPC weigh offs.
Really Ray! I wanna know.
But you have sold his seeds that say P and P on the package for years!
But now you are making a issue about one list for Atlantic Giants. I didn't read the links on your posts.
Did you lay claim to Atlantic Giants as your own?
Ray I respect your arguments about who laid claim to rights because they know the law better than someone else.
I will never think of Atlantic Giants as anything but something a long time friend developed!
They are all one breed!
You can put lipstick on a pig, but you know what? It is still a pig!
I once had a dream of making it rich, growing the biggest pumpkin then selling all of the seed.
I then learned that Howard had staked a claim on the seeds, he had developed.
I made enough money off winning contests. I sold and traded a few seeds here and there. Howard didn't mind!
I have never stated a seed company selling seeds that someone owned the rights to.
Certainly not adding one generation of some other breed and taking someone's life lone goal and claiming it as my own.
Why, Now are you fighting over one list for growers to learn from? I thought that was what the World Pumpkin Federation was all about!
Ray why did we have to go here?
It is almost fall and I don't want to argue anymore!
Hope you do well with what ever seed you call your Atlantic Giants.
