Update #5 - Sept 1st, 2002! Computer has been down.

Howdy!
Hope all is well out there in pumpkin land! I'm sorry to hear of some big ones splitting...really is fustrating and the feeling of nothing one can do.
Lost 2 more pumpkins this week...my daughter's due to an animal getting under it (did not realize until started slicing it up and moving it out of the garden)...which might be happening to my son as a hole under the pumpkin has been found and plugged and then unplugged and again plugged!  Animials!!!  The other pumpkin which might make it to someone's door step...was so badly rotted on top, that I got tired of trying to keep up and just cut deep into it (2ft x 2ft x 1/2") and then dump'd captan on it...but I am not going to measure the ugly beast anymore....that was the last on the 731 Stucker.  This truly has been a wierd year!
