RE: Quick questions

Regarding what is allowed to compete and what should be exhibition....
I have a Pumpkin with some shallow but mushy strips along two ribs - looks like someone took a rasp or file along the ribs. I have no idea how it happened, but after being away for 8 days, this is what I'm dealing with. I think these areas are fairly superficial and not anywhere near the cavity. At first I thought I should just cut the vine and consider it a goner, but it's still growing and now I wonder if it's ok to still compete?
Are "Exhibition" fruits ok for state records?
And please, no holy wars.
You can reply to me privately if you wish.
And thanks.

Without causing a holy war, can I ask the list if my pumpkins which have 2 about 1" deep stab marks ( aggressive 2nd grade vandal) whichh do not go all the way through should still be considered official at a weigh off or is it EXH only?

Also any tips on preserving the seeds for next year.

More than likely they will seal. When inspected they wont go through to the cavity and therefore will pass inspection. my two cents.................but ya might wanna pass it by drew.......................................G
