Rotten
When is rotten rotten and when is enough enough?. And now even poetry? Most
of the growers I know are very concerned about what the bottom of their
pumpkin looks like. It is the only part you can't really see. When I am
taking my pumpkin out of the patch the first thing I look at is the bootom.
Is there a mouse hole? Might there even be a crack? I am very concerned I
will find a rotten spot and a hole. A pumpkin does not rot in a day. Maybe in
two days? Certainly not in three or four or five minutes. To me its over. The
rotten spot was missed. Why cry over spilt pumpkin? Can I have some of the
seeds?
