Subject: tomorrow at clarence
Hope to see several of you there tomorrow,
because it definately will be worth the trip. Tonight i helped load what
may be the heaviest EXH weighed pumpkin ever. i think by the
measurements it is the second biggest fruit ever, behind the 1230
daletas. Grown by Tim Bailey from Jamestown, NY this is estimating in
the high 1300's. ( we measured tonight but can only remember the circ is
187, forgot the other two) It's going to clarence to get an accurate
weight, because a hole was found in the blossom end that penetrated into the
seed cavity 6 weeks ago today. It was immediatey sealed up with
sillicone caulk, which is probably why it continued to grow. anyway,
hope to see you there. this is one impressive fruit. the PA
lifter barely fit it, we had to add a hook on the bottom rope so that it
would reach all the way around, under the girth. oh, and it's off the
790 daletas and self pollinated.
