disappointing end

Hi, List
In light of all the serious debates this seems silly to report, but here goes.  I had a good plan for obtaining a credible weight for my best pumpkin. I was taking it to a packing house that processes raisins. The scale is USDA inspected and calibrated.
I was going to use the employees of the packing house as witness. I would weigh the pumpkin, then take it to the county fair for exhibition. At the last minute, the person who promised to help me backed out.  The pumpkin was placed on a scale that has not been calibrated since I don't know when. I have no idea what that thing weighs. The scale said 202, but I think that information is useless.  Anyway, the pumpkin is the first fruit I have grown successfully to maturity so I am proud it. I am planning to harvest the seeds and try again next year.

(P.S. I am also considering marriage counseling or trading 1 uncooperative husband for some seeds. joking, barely. I know I will laugh about this in a few years.)
