Largest pumpkin split.......

This evening Bruce and Mary Whittier of Henniker, NH had certified scales
(Northeast Scales Co.) brought to their patch to weigh what could have been
the newest world record.  Unfortunately, it developed a split that
disqualified it from any official weigh-offs.  This monster weighed in at a
mere 1458 lbs.!  I am very proud to have been on the lifting team and there
to witness this HUGE accomplishment.  Congratulations to Bruce and Mary on a
job well done.  Let the world know that the Northeast is still a force to be
reckoned with!
