Lubadub,
I sure am curious as to how his weight estimate would vary from the "over the top" estimates. If you do not have a copy of the weight estimate chart you can use this from Bob Marcellus:
Weight in pounds = 0.0000703 x(times)OTT(in inches) to the power of 2.795
Take OTT (Over the top sum of three measurements) to the power 2.795 first.
in Excel format Weight = 0.0000703*(OTT^2.795)
You should note that his predictions and the weight estimates from Mr Marcellus are estimates and not "semiofficial weights".
Keep us informed!

There is a guy near here who used to have a job at the Circus Carnival
estimating weights. If he was right within two pounds he won and if wrong he had
to give a prize. Well, over the years he did very well in that his expertise
improved and he made a really good living. My question is, would anyone find
fault if I used this guy to give me a semiofficial weight for my pumpkin? The
thing I like about this is that the pumpkin would never have to be disturbed
in the garden. Just wondering.
