That is a GREAT rule for Squash... 80% TRUE GREEN ROCKS... Borchard seems to
have it right !! I can't wait to take that first place again this year !!!
Take care all...
What does 80% TRUE green mean???? Is there "untrue green"? Green is green.
"True green" refers to all green...from the start to the finish. "80%" and
"true" should NOT be in the same sentence if referring to squash ! Your doing
nothing but confusing the poor "true-orange" guys when you do that....(God knows
they need help as it is as evidenced by allowing "white" pumpkins)..."80%
True Green" as you call it is an awesome rule for pumpkins that green up---it
allows them to compete but does a tremendous dis-service for a green squash
grower...Geez...........G
