Russ, thank you for the response. Gordon was nice enough to send me some
seeds this year and I grew a 906 Tanner which succumbed to the hot
temperatures. Initially Polly thought the man's name was Turner and I was
just curious if anyone had the answer to the heat. Sustained temperatures in
the mid 90's are hard to deal with, even with shading and watering. Does
anyone have any suggestions--------other than move North? Charles
I would try an overhead water spray to wet the leaves periodically for
evaporative cooling as well as added foliar water uptake.
