Sorry to hear that Steve. How did you determine that the stem rotted all
he
ay into the fruit prior to the BIG explosion? Wish I could have seen the
xplosion. I plan on using a chainsaw and laughing like a mad woman the
hole
ime.

I had a real nice fruit succumb to stem rot last week. Neither Daconil,
aptan or Borax could save it.
We gave her a proper funeral by proceeding to blow the smithereens out of
er. It is an amazing sight to see a 600lb plus pumpkin disappear before
our very eyes. No cleanup necessary!
I will have a couple for Indiana weigh-offs this Sunday. We are too busy to
ake it to Illinois.
Good luck all!

Folks--a reminder--please show "parents" including their year when you
egister your entrys.I have especially in mind the Long Gourd and Field
umpkin categories.
Atlantic Giant growers are used to showing parentages by now,but the year
or the parents would be an improvement.
Let's see all the parentages columns on BP.com filled in this fall.
Cheers--Al Eaton
