That's happening to me as well. I'd like to set another pumpkin even at this
very late date; but, for the last month or so the female flowers have not
developed normally. I say normally in that in years past I've always had a
plethora of females that were easily pollenated. This year on two vines
larger
than anything I've grown before I pollenated ONE pumpkin. Differences this
year I think have been: (1) more watering; (2) hotter weather; (3) more
fertilization; (4) different seeds. For some reason I'd guess (1) and (3) as
the main reasons.
