Weight Estimate

I hate to ask this, but I have cannot seem to locate the instructions
for measuring a pumpkin to get an estimated weight.  I got some terrific
looking pumpkins (not bad, for my first year!), and can't stand not
having any idea how much they weigh.  Somebody, please send me
instruction on measuring and estimating a pumpkin weight!!!
