Thank you Chris and Brock, for the weigh-off information. 
For my education and others who may be curious, maybe you can answer a
couple of questions.
My largest pumpkin now tapes at about 250lbs. With less than a month to
weigh-off, should I even think about taking it to competition? Half-Moon
Bay being the latest date would give it more time to fatten, but I do
believe the stiffest competition may there. What would you recommend?
This is my first year growing. Got off to a late start, planted in mid
June, first fruit set in late July. Will try to do better next year.
