My Biggest is gone

   I lost my biggest and prettiest pumpkin I've ever grown yesterday.  I had
been fighting stem split for over a month now, but the bottom is what gave
way. I estimated it to be a little over 600 pounds, over double what I've
grown before. I got a call about a TV station wanting to come film the
cutting of the vine and loading of the pumpkin on Friday.  This may have
been the bad luck to cause all this.  I hope my backup pumpkin is able to
make it another 6 days.  I am ready to get started for next year now.
