Pumpkineers,
I have been seeingalot of how "my pumpkin has stopped growing", and
"should I be worried"? Well, here is what I have done in September,
after gaining 103.5 inches OTT in August (Had 226 on July 31st, 329.5 on
August 31st).
Sept 1 - 0 inches
Sept 2 - 2 inches
Sept 3 - 0 inches
Sept 4 - .5 inches
Sept 5 - 1.5 inches
Sept 6 - 0 inches
Sept 7 - .5 inches
Sept 8 - 1 inch
I see little to no growth lately, but am under the understanding, if the
fruit was set on July 1st, I am 70 days into its life, so it cant get
much larger.. Ill take what I can get, remembering, too much fertilizer
this time of year will be sure death, as huge growth spurts this time of
year could crack the outer shell of the pumpkin, because of its age.
Slow and steady this time of year...
