Well, I have an estimated OTT 700 pounder in a very small yard. the
plant takes up a space 17 ft by 25 or so. I did very little pruning. The
plant has about three layers of growth, from old high dead stuff to new
females growing hidden in the "underbrush." And at least one quarter of
the patch is in shade at some point during the day.
I am coming to think that most of the trick is in getting the right
seed.
