Bad news showed up tonite ......
I took my nightly trip to the patch after work, and I had my heart sink
to the bottom of my feet.. I was making my usual rounds, and there it
was.. a soft spot.. right on top.. I am going to cam-cord it and get the
photo on the page tomorrow.. but Iam so dissapointed.. I really looked
forward to going to Clarence, to meet everyone, but alas, I do not think
the soft spot will make it that long.. I give it a week, tops..
Final talliess as far as I cansee is roughly 780 pounds, and I have no
idea why the soft spot has arrived. I wonder if I had moles get
underneath, or maybe this being the 74th day of the fruits life, and the
plant being 146 days old from the time I started the seed, that maybe it
had matured to its fullest, and this is just the downhill slope for its
life.. I am going to wait until something happens like a cave-in or
something, but am really depressed.
On the bright side, this was my rookie season, and who could have asked
for anything more? Long live the Dark horse.. "atleast in my memories..
It sure is going to be hard going to the patch for the next three
weeks..but I will be rooting for all my fellwo growers over the list,
good luck to all.. I love ya man!! (bud light please?)
