We are only two weeks away from most wiegh-off's! Most of you may all ready
know this but I thought it was worth mentioning. You should wash off any of
the strong Fungicides this weekend and replace it with a safer Powdered
Sulfur. This will protect the Pumpkin pickers and carriers from getting
injured. For instance, if they get Captan on their hands and touch their eye
it could cause serious eye damage. Just before the weigh-off all Fungicides
should be washed off. Some sites may refuse to weigh a Pumpkin with visible
signs of Fungicide on it, due to the safety concerns.
