Bart,
Bad News, my "Big One" for Topsfield is gone, went out today and gave it a
"sniff" as you suggested. It had an odor so I pressed on it with two hands
and the flesh moved. Should have picked it a week ago for the Weeks Seed
weigh off. (They tell me I placed 8th with my 614 lbs.) Missed 7th place by
2 lbs. My back-up for Topsfield is 305". If my 614 holds up it was picked
(9-18-98) it will be the one I bring to Topsfield. The 305" is still growing,
will see and bring the heaviest one. Thanks for your help moving my pumpkin.
I do plan to go to New Milford. Would like to go to R.I. weigh off, but it's
the same day.
