A note on the fantastic publicity the pumpkin weigh-off held at the Tweite
Mercantile in Bryon, Mn. had this past Saturday.
Both KTTC TV of Rochester and KIMT TV of Mason City, Iowa, had long
features on the weigh-off Saturday evening. The weigh-off was mentioned in
the Twin Cities newspapers on Sunday. WCCO radio in Minneapolis talked
about the weigh-off on Sunday and Monday. The AM and FM stations carried
the weigh-off news in the Rochester area. Many people commented to me that
they heard about it on their way to church.
I was contacted by the AP and asked a number of question Saturday evening.
Tuesday morning, my wife and I gave separate live interviews on different
radio stations in Rochester. The Rochester Post Bulletin newspaper carried
a nice article and picture of the winning pumpkin and grower (me). To see

3) Select the "Full Story" on the article about the weigh-off.
This has been a new experience for me, but it has been fun. Hope all of
