Re: Unoffical Result of Weeks Seed

Mike in Oregon

Thanks for your acknowledgment of me growing a 614 lb pumpkin. The female is
a Kuhn 607 which was on the same plant as his 929.4 . Going into Aug. I was
ahead of his 929.4 measurement by 6.5 inches I don't know why it slowed down
in growth, but all of my pumpkins did. My soil tested low in potash which is
what you need late in the season for pumpkin growth. My 614 was self
pollinated. I would plant this seed again and will next year. If you want
one let me know. The Kuhn 929.4 was the largest pumpkin ever grown from a
seed from the 567 Mombart .
