Not too much....I have problems with Mosaic virus on BOTH of my Burpee 
Prizewinners.. But I guess I can count myself lucky as far as the A.G.'s, so 
far.
As for frost protection, last year I used floating row cover, then a tent of 
plastic over that, and put in about 50 gallon insulated containers of hot 
water all around under the leaves. My goal was not just to protect from frost 
but to keep the temperature over 60 or so. Spraying with seaweed also can 
help plants survive frost. Wetting the leaves with water can offer some 
protection as a last resort, if unable to cover. Last year I wasn't able to 
cover our garden one night, so I went out every few hours and sprayed water 
all over with our garden hose. The temp of the water coming from the pipes in 
our house was VERY warm compared to the cold outdoor temperature, so it saved 
all of our plants.
