Pennsylvania Update, Larry Checkons 1033 also!

My first update since losing my 500 pounder is here, and is packed with
some photos of my patch and how horrible it looks now with the Ciliberto
697 removed, and also my 10 ft plus sunflowers that are absolutely
gorgeous!!! Thanks so much Buck for the seeds, and I do pray nightly for
your father.. I would like to dedicate the row I have on my main page to
your father.... Might brighten up his day to know some grower in
Pennsylvania was praying for him... I hope it does yours..
Larry Checkon, the Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Groer's Association
defending champion has forwarded pictures of his downed 1033 and are
available on my update page. I am awaiting some more details to incude
about the pumpkin, like pollenating, start date, measurements, etc... I
will post that when I recieve them, but dont miss the pics.. It is a
similar pose to Rocky Pacilli's pumpkin last year, but this is
definitely all of the 1033 after looking at it!! Wow.. Nice pumpkin
Larry...
As for myself, I have one that hasnt grown in 3 weeks on the Mombert
866 plant, that is stuck at 230 OTT, and I started a new one on August
11th, and that looks like a beautiful one to carve. The Mombert 866
grows some beautifully shaped pumpkins, but they seem to want to stop at
230 pounds or so... Enjoy the page...
