Lost my patch..need an angle

Hi All..this year i've had a taste of the good life...5 plants in patches of
40x45,40x40,22x40 and 25x50...lots of room,full sun mostly,lots of
choices......what a difference space makes!!!!!!! Next year i'm back to my
half sun 22x40 patch in the backyard....not too many choices,if I lose a
fruit its all over.Unless I can work something out.I live in the suburbs of
New York city where a house on a 1/4 acre with a lawn rule....noone grows
pumpkins like us and most just shake thier heads and offer condolenses to my
wife and family.
I am searching for a place to grow pumpkins and since farms are a few and
far between around here I'm looking around for open lots and back sections
of homes etc...If I could hook up with an organization with some extra land
that could use a giant pumpkin or 4 I might have an angle to get a place to
grow...for example...a firehouse that has a "back 40"(feet) doing nothing
that would like to bring big pumpkins to a hospital for the kids to carve,or
a guess the weight fundraising raffle etc...
I would gladly give up most of the booty for the fun and seeds after the
competitions are over........here's my question...what do people do with
these giants that would help me rent a place to grow? What have YOU done
with yours...and HOW can I make this attractive to a landowner (or at least
tolerable...).If they were donated by the landlord ,that would make them a
(taxwise) charitable contribution, no?
 Any suggestions?...thanks...GlennA
