The Collins WPC weighoff was moved to The Great Pumpkin Farm in
Clarence, NY a few years ago.  It's on Oct. 2 this year, in CLARENCE;
Ray Waterman ("lgourd") posted more details in this list back in
August; see the archives circa 8/16.

I went there last year, and it's not just a weighoff, but a
huge fall festival, with carnival, corn maze, haunted
house, horse drawn wagons, literally thousands of field pumpkins for
sale arranged in amazing ways (how about a house with walls made of
pumpkins?). Last year it was $3 admission to the farm (this is
for spectators, and is not the contest entry fee). Last year I got there
about 11:30 and the weighing was well under way, finishing
up completely by about 1pm. The 1998 2nd place finisher was Kevin Brown's
755.5 pounder, a *really* nicely shaped pumpkin, and the first place squeaker
was Herb Smith with a 762.

I'm growing a pumpkin at a pace to top 1500 pounds... if I can keep it growing
thru December!  :-)
