A pumpkin is worth what ever a person is willing to pay for it. Last year my
625 brought 60 cents/lb. for a radio station doing a promo. My guidelines
are .10 per 100 lbs, .20 for 200lbs, .30 for 300, etc.For an unusually larg
fruit , expect to pay over $1000. State/world records could bring several
thousand to right buyer. I've got a large fruit this year and the Mall of
America is looking at possibly buying it and will pay over $1000 for the
fruit to put on display for 3 weeks. Hope this helps.Pumpkinpiper
