I agree that both of you have valid points regarding the germination
percentages to be expected by neophyte AND experienced propagators with
many perennial and alpine seeds. however I have stopped purchasing seeds
from T&M because of the terrible germination rates of completely ordinary
annuals (i.e. Pansies, Nasturtiums, even Vegetables!) . When purchased from
Canadian and American seed companies, the germination rates are often close
to 90%. In fact, I have better results with my NARGS seeds than I do with
T&M.
P.S. I enjoyed your posts, but I fear your verbosity has probably turned
alot of people off.
