When in the past we delt w/ day lenght .....we used a light sensor in
conjunction w/ a clock...when the light got dim the sensor turned the
extra light on....then later the clock turned it all off after the right
amount of day had been supplied.....NOTE: This was all based on the
premise, that some plants are just day lenght sensitive...not daylight
sensitive...or in other words, some plants want 16 hours of light...any
light..... just a certain time frame from dark to dark acording to the
time frame you want to mimick. Other plants just want a strenght level
of light...as in candle power verses time.....It seems to me that an
example of this would be asisatic lillies who want a certain day lenght
and a certain light level, before they are fooled into compliance.
