Re[2]: Cats in the garden

Well, I hate to continue something off the subject, but I feel
compelled to respond. People often perceive "cat control" discussions
as David has: an attack on cats. The fact is that, aside from the
damage cats (and other animals) do to gardens, cat (and dog) feces
contain some things that can have serious health consequences in
humans. Pregnant women are advised not to even clean cat boxes in
their houses, but to leave the task to others because of the risks
involved. My dogs do their duty all over *their* patch of flowers,
but I would never permit that in the veggie garden, nor should you
allow your cats to go in yours. No harm intended to cats.

Hi all,
not too long ago, there was a lot of chatter on the problems associated with
rabbits in the garden. At the time, I chose to ignore it as my solution
would not be to everyones taste. However, with the current attack on cats
in the garden, I feel that I should now put it forward. If you don't want
rabbits, stop worrying about cats!

Nowadays, I have two very beautiful Havanas, many beautiful plants and zero
rabbits. That is a dramatic change from the days when I had many rabbits
and very few plants and zero cats. I know which I prefer.
