Supposing I didn't know a PCR (polymerase chain-reactor) from a
VCR (video cassete recorder), would someone please explain a little (or
a lot) about any relationship between genes and germination?
If some seeds of something that requires stratification didn't,
should I expect the progeny of these plants and theirs, etc, will not
require it either, or will there be such variations in any population
regardless of the traits of the parent?
I have been told these easy starters imply poor quality plant
material and I would obviously love to beg to differ...being as I am
such a person who also considers etiolation a normal part of life for a
seed a foot deep in a crevice, and grows etiolated things on to glowing
health, also in spite of what I am told.
(Thanks, Bob Nold, for the ultimate solution to c*t problems! :-)
