Wouldn't you know it? Now that I have a little more time to search for
interesting topic info (as opposed to weeding the mailbox) not only does
the Garden Center Tips page (HotBot exact word search "Rooting Plants in
Water" produce a wonderful "safe and sane" suggestion about adding
charcoal 
to keep the water clean, but also...(and please, not again!)
