I'm not so sure about grafting- however, I do know that a hibiscus can be successfully pruned to
a bushy shrub by simply cutting back the "leggy" branches to about 25mm from the stalks or
branches you wish to be the central stems. Coincidentally, NOW is the time to do this, as most
hibiscii are putting forth new growth at this time (at least, in the northern lattitudes). JK
