Subject: Re: Malva alcea fastigiata
In the past I've had great luck with malva and lavatera seed; they pop up
in about 3 days. But now I'm getting nothing from Malva alcea
fastigiata, in light at 70 degrees F. One reference recommends
stratifying, another says to place in fridege for 5 months! Help! My
seed soruce was NARGS seed swap, so that could be the problem
(N0 criticism of NARGS intended). Or, should I have knicked the little
black seeds with a pin? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with
experience germinating these. Many thanks.
