Glad to see this in discussion..I have had serious problems with Netscape this
week which required paid technical help to resolve it .
Having just gotten it cleared up I will not open any attachments in the future.
In addition Thurs.nite,I had a problem with, ddroberts Niembergia message, BY
JUST CLICKING ON IT..Each time I did I was given an,' illegal operation', notice
by Netscape and was forced to close the program.Thinking the first time that it
was just a glitch I tried it again, until finally I had attempted it 3 separate
times and each time was forced to close down. The only way I could get rid of it
was to use the
ctrl & shift keys to high light it and then delete..
The techy that helped me resolve the repair mentioned said that one of the
possible ways Netscape(info taken directly off on Net.support site) can become
corrupted is via an incorrect date on an incoming message..SO please everyone
check that what your sending is properly dated (or perhaps we're experiencing
some early Y2K problems here?)
I am no computer wiz nor I cannot afford frequent problems.I repeat I cannot/will
not open attachments, most of us have the choice to send straight text and would
appreciate their checking that option to insure that we all can/will read your
posts.
Thanks,
Connie Hoy
