Hi all, Just have to share my happiness with you all. I have success in
rooting the small black seeds of the Hellebore sent me by Gay Klok, LAST
YEAR. Gay lives in Tasmania and we were discussing the Hellebore, Christmas
Rose.She was able to collect some seed and ship them over to me. They have
been in the refrigerator in a plastic bag, wrapped in damp paper towels. I
shared some with my ever efficient fellow U.C.Master Gardener and she had
been checking hers regularly and was the first to discover the tiny roots.
Gay had mentioned that they may need chilling and she was so right. I have
contacted her and we are both so impressed that this wonderful age can bring
about the sharing of seeds, ideas, advice, oh so many lovely friends.
