Kathy,
I put up another photo that somewhat shows what looks like lanceolate
leaves.
I am hoping it is the Synthyris schizantha, that Kruckeberg says is
rare, and that I can go back soon and collect a few seeds, but need an ID first so I know what I am dealing
with. What a beautiful plant and would really like to have in my
Native Garden. I was so tired after along day of hiking and
photographing the alpine plants in the mountains that unfortunately
when we stopped on the way down, I didn't take notes or photos of the
foliage. Thanks for the help and maybe the next photo will help
ID it better.
Does anyone know of a key for plants in the Olympics? My field guides
are not helping on this plant.
