Hi
This may sound like a pretty dumb question to those who are experts at
gathering seeds, but I am a newbie at collecting seeds so please help me.
How do you collect seeds from Moonbeam coreopsis and purple coneflowers.
How do you know when they are really to be pick?
Where are the seeds located in the flower head?
I picked a few coneflowers seed heads when they were dark brown to black. I
separated the picky parts. Is the picky part the seeds? When I planted the
coneflowers from a packet of seeds the seeds were small and didn't have the
long pointed picky part. So I am so confuse.
I really would appreciate some advice.
TIA
Vanessa
