Re: Amaranthus


After the flower is fairly dry, you should be able to see tiny black seeds
clinging to the stalk.  Shake the seed head in a paper sack to catch the
seeds.  If the head is not dry, but seed is mature, you can bring heads in
the house to dry before shaking seed into a bag.  I have not grown 
"Spendor" before, so maybe your seeds will not be black, but they should
still produce seed the the way mine did.  Mine also reeds by itself freely
in zone 8.
