The seeds of some varieties of amaranth are in clusters of growth in the
leaf axils, or where the leaf joins the stalk. Pinch out the growth and
rub it between your fingers and see if there are tiny round seeds.
Otherwise it's in a plume that grows from the top of the plant. Margaret
