Iris leaf blight

Fellow Gardeners,
I ordered something from a low-rent bulb house called Tigridia because I
really like the freckled coloration in my flowers. I actually got them
to grow and one even bloomed before a leaf browning set in. What I saw
was so beautiful I almost dubbed it my favorite flower. Then my wife
walked up and I remembered that she is. Since then, not one has ever had
enough extra energy to look like it was going to live much less bloom.
From this list I have learned that they are in the iris family, so I
went to look and most of my irises and glads (close cousins?) have the
same problem. I really was impressed with that one bloom I saw and want
to learn how to care for them successfully if I can. Most of the bulbs
are now dormant or dead, I don't know which. I liked them well enough to
buy more but would prefer a more reputable source with larger bulbs.
Any Ideas on what I shooed do, regarding the existing bulbs. Is there a
fungal treatment or miticide that might help, and do I need to start
with new bulbs to use it?

Also, what other flowers have such pleasant mottling or freckling? Are
there any fritillaries that can take the Kansas heat (100+) and humidity
as well as the -15F cold? What other suggestions?
I have more and more lilies, I am anticipating my new toad lilies
blooming this fall. I bought tubers AND seed, but haven't gotten a
single seed to germinate.
