I'm new in all this and my English is poor so I want to apologize first.
I just have a few questions and I hope someone of you can help me:
I want to get Magnolia grandiflora by seed, and I've read in a
book that the seeds should be stratified for about two months at 4
degrees just after collected. This is okey, but in another book I read
that the seeds shuld be kept warm and moist for some time prior to
stratification to get best results. What's the best way? If a warm
stratification, then for how long? (the book doesn't tell)
Also, I haven't found information of seed propagation of Sorbus
domestica and Juniperus thurifera, two beautiful trees (quite rare
nowadays) from Mediterranean Spain and southern Europe. If someone has
any ideas, they would be appreciated.
Last, does anyone know a mailing list in Spanish about plants or
gardens?
Thank you very much in advance:
Felipe
