Can anyone offer suggestions for germinating seeds of Palms?
I have two seeds - roughly tear-drop in shape, they are two inches
wide by one and a half inches long by just over half an inch thick.
They look like chunks of wood actually. They almost certainly came
from the Dominican Republic. I would appreciate advice re scarifying
- if needed, compost suggested and moisture/temperature for
germination, and any other information on propagating palms..
(Acoelorraphe wrightii, Neodypsisdecaryi, Schippia concolor and
Acrocomia aculeata for instance).
Thanks,
Ronald Hill (East Anglia UK)
