I assume most of you forgotten this. You can review every posting from
this mailing list on this URL:
http://www.mallorn.com/lists/seeds-list
You can search for any posting or subject by using this URL:
http://www.mallorn.com/lists/seeds-list/search.cgi
Please try to remember this
Here is a trick and I will only say this once.
Lets say you hate getting all this mail and you would like to reduce the
quantity of mail from this mailing list. The best way to do this is to
subscribe to the digest format. This can be done by reviewing the
process on this url
http://www.eskimo.com/~mcalpin/seed.html
Now your on the digest format and you see all these postings....do you
want to read them all? Some of us would say "no way". To solve this
problem, is to scan the subject headings at the beginning of the post to
see what might interest you. You can now drag down digest mailing and
read the post of interest. If you want to reply, you need to submit your
post to seeds-list@eskimo.com not seeds-digest@eskimo.com. Once you
have seen your mailing address is correct, you can compose your response
or questions to the mailing list.
Here is what I do. I delete the digest posting and when I have the time
I view all the postings on the archive list.
http://www.mallorn.com/lists/seeds-list
I select the month I want to read, which of course is the current one.
I will scan the subjects for personal interest and respond to the query
if I elect to.
So lets say you see a subject you like, open it .... and now you want to
respond. Look for the mailing list link on top of the post
"seeds-list@eskimo.com" and select it. A email window should appear.
Now press quote, this will provide the all the text in your web
browser. Remove any of text that you wish not to send. Now compose
your response and send it off.
What is the advantage? Reduced mail, selective reading and less time in
front of your computer. Now this works well for me on my ISP. The
system setup could be different for yours.
Give it a try.
Send replies back to me for help.
listowner.
