Since it's morning glory you're talking about, I'd say go ahead and plant
them.  You might pour them out onto some paper towels if they'ere not
rotted yet, I'd bet they'll germinate on the paper, then you could simply
cut up the paper towel and plant it along with the seed and the cotyledons!
