Sow in deep, moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Shelter
from cold, drying winds and protect from excessive winter mositure. Avoid
distrubing plants once established. Propagation - sow seeds in containers
in an open frame as soon as ripe or in autumn. Insert root cuttings in
winter.
Slugs and snails may damage leaves and fruits.
