Judy,
I haven't tried Parnassia glauca, but P. palustris, nubicola and obtusiflora. These species germinated well without stratification. It'll take about two weeks in 20 oC. But I would recommend well sterilized medium since the growth during the first year is very limited. Keep moist!!!
